Teachers' Day Celebrations on 31 Aug 2006

My first posting shall be about this year's Teachers' Day celebrations. I have many interesting and funny photos to share. This year's theme for teachers was suggested by Maurice (Head of Social Recreation, Student Council) and it's Back to School. I thought it's a pretty fun theme and it was approved. I was afraid that the response from teachers wouldn't be good but it turned out alright.

We all met in the morning and took a group picture. Don't we all look like students?
Let me introduce some of my colleagues... look at the pic ok. From left, there's me in my AMKsian uniform. Yes, I'm a True Green AMKsian. Next to me is Mrs Janice Chung from PLMGS and beside her is Miss Eunice Tan also from PLMGS. Then we have Miss Chow and Mrs Ong in NGH and IJ uniforms, not from their real schools. Mdm Karen Teng and Mrs Seah came in their AJC uniform (borrowed of coz) and Miss Deepa and Mrs Tan AN came as fake AMKsians... hehe. The two, Miss Low and Miss Chin came in their YJC t-shirts because the current YJC uniform is no longer the same.... so sad :( I do hope that AMKSS doesn't change the super cool GREEN uniform.

Mrs Ong is really cool. Eight months pregnant and she went to borrow a uniform from her friend! She came as a pregnant student! Not scandalous of coz... No offence to IJ gals hor...


I went around visiting the classes that invited me to their class parties and took a few interesting pictures.

It's also really nice to see ex-students.... my boys from ex-4C and Stephanus from Sec 4/2 2005....




Had a lot of fun taking pictures and meeting ex-students. However, it was really disappointing to see the mess created by AMKsians after the party. I saw many apples on the landing areas outside the classroom windows and saw many classrooms with food items left lying around. To my dismay, I also heard teachers telling me in the staff room that many students threw flour and water bombs at them!!! What happened to the value -- Respect?
