The Colourful Life of PIXUS: PIXUS attends Staff Workshop 2007

Have you ever wondered what teachers do during the school holidays? I bet you must be thinking that your "evil" teachers give you tons of holiday assignment and they would be enjoying themselves, going on a 30 days tour in Europe or something like that? Well... the reality is... we have to conduct ConquerO remedial lessons in Week 1 and this week, we had a 2-day workshop.

The workshop was held at Marina Country Club (MCC) far far away from the city in ulu Punggol. On the first day, we had a lot of heavy going discussions and on the seocnd half of Day 2, we had team-builing activities.

Ahoy ahoy... we're off to Pulau Ubin!

Oh no... we're on the wrong ferry!!!

No worries, we arrived. Safe and Sound and in one piece.

Alright, so I said team-building activities. Here's our team of 14 members. We're all set to compete! Urghhh!!!!

Let me introduce some of the members of this team. Some are assets and some are liaibilities.

This is Recruit Chin (always the first to leave but the last to arrive)

Recruit NgKP (super good at balancing)

Recruit Lee (always need tissue paper for her nose... chop it off lah)

Recruit Ling (always ready for battle..look at him roar!)

Recruit NgHY (so tall she don't need ladder to climb the wall)

Recruit Teng (blur blur dunno if she can find the way out)

Recruit Ong (look at him...all ready for battle too!)

Recruit Voo (dunno whether he's awake or not... full of strategies that doesn't work)

Recruit Tong (bar kar but can fight a battle)

Recruit Tan (always dependable to take care of us)

We had 5 different tasks.

One... tarzan pass acid pool... Orr Ee Orr Ee Orr

Two...climb an impossible wall...

Three... walk on thin rope with support from your partner (preferably the same height)

Four... Zig-zag rope walk Five... Spiderweb (forgot to take pics)

Learning Point for the activities... It's all about... TEAM WORK!!! No matter whether there are more assets or liaibilites, you can succeed as long as there is... TEAM WORK!!! The rest is not important.
