PIXUS goes to Dragonfly

Last night was PIXUS' first trip to Dragonfly@St James Powerstation (SJP). Dragonfly is one of the many clubs at SJP. There's a live band there and they sing mainly mandarinpop, cantopop and sometimes English and Jap songs.

Okay so I was out with Mrs Ong and Ms Chin on a girls nite out. We're always happy to be at Dragonfly coz the performers are really good. It's like watching concert at indoor stadium except that it's a smaller place and the best part is, we can stand right in front of the stage!

So there's only 3 of us and Dragonfly is super crowded and we didn't have a table. I was knocked by a few people and even spilled white wine on my watch. It's so frustrating!

Luckily, I met a fren (whom I haven't met for ages) who has booked a karaoke room upstairs at Mono. So during intervals when the band is not playing, we could sit down without being knocked over!
Ms Chin's still coughing and can't sing (that's why she's bored)


This is my friend... his nickname is Ngiao Ci (RAT in hokkien).. for obvious reasons. Haha... Mrs Ong insists he looked like Hossan Leong. Does he?


Alright... so why am I so crazy over Dragonfly? You see.... when I was younger (not that I'm very old now), I was a hard rock fan. Guns and Roses, Def Leopard, Bon Jovi, Beyond. The 3 of us happen to be BEYOND fans and the band plays Beyond songs so...
There are 2 resident Bands there -- Queen and Puzzle. The resident vocalists includes William Scorpion (think the young kids won't know him), Celeste and Skye. Sylvester Sim (Singapore Idol) is the guest performing artist.

A wannabe rocker chick like me goes gaga over the guitarist usually. It's an amazing feeling watching the guitarist play.... if u know what i mean. So I'm crazy over the guitarist from Queen...hehe. Super cool!


My ever reliable celebrity gossips supplier just told me that his stage name is Deehellsix (DH6).

Sylvester and DH6 were super on and they posed for PIXUS.

This is the infamous William Scorpion! He's really fit for his age. Got six packs!


Actually I took many videos and I wanted to post them. Unfortunately, I rotated my camera (thinking that I can rotate videos like pictures) when filming!!!! Gosh!!! You can't imagine how sad I am....sob sob. I shall go again to film it right and post it the next time.

Kids out there... wait till u r of legal age then start clubbing okay. Age limit for Dragonfly is 23 for guys and 18 for girls. Although I think 18 is still too young for clubbing. Wait till you're past 21! :P Da Jie here didn't really club until I was in Uni okay.
