PIXUS visits Australia -- Day 9
Girls are girls and even though we had a very tight schdule, we had to buy some stuffs before we left Surfers Paradise. We visited Hard Rock Cafe the night before but couldn't buy the items we wanted because the VISA machine was down. So, we went back again to HRC to complete our purchases and also to shop around. We gave ourselves a cetain time to leave coz we're heading for a farmstay place and we're not sure how long the drive would take. Anyway, as expected, we exceeded the time limit... hehehe.
Well, it was worth going to HRC coz I bought a nice t-shirt but most importantly, I managed to take a pic with my fav rock band... Guns and Roses!

After buying, we set off on a journey to look for a farm called CedarGlen. It's located at a place where 'Birds don't lay eggs'. Hahaha
We drove through highways, freeways and pebbled roads and drove past 8 bridges and finally arrived at CedarGlen Farm after almost 2 hours. 45 mins past our expected arrival time. Well, our ever friendly host and some other very nice guests waited for us even though we were late to go for the pinic.
Yippee, we were so so hungry and tired from driving so many kilometres!
We hoped on the 4WD jeep and drove out to The Lost World. No kidding! It's really called Lost World!
This is the jeep. And we're on it. It's a bumpy ride ok!

Welcome to the Lost World!!!

Urmmm... Ms Chin... R u lost???

I said picnic right... they even brought the picnic tables along!

Starting a fire to make Billy Tea....

While the rest (Australians) were picking twigs to start the fire, we were posing for pics... typical City Folks! Well, they managed to do it so well!

This guy is Nigel. Son of the owner of the farm.

We took a pic with Nigel...

Our new young friend, Reeds. A tourist from Goldcoast. Cute right? He's only 6 yrs old.

The lunch was really yummy... homemade sandwiches and some pastries. Not forgetting the Billy Tea!
We then went back to the farm to take pics of our cottage! One whole cottage to ourselves! Cool!!!
This is the walkway towards our cottage (see it on the background)

The gate to our cottage (our car at the background)

Closer shot of our car... drove it for 4 days in Brisbane. Cool car! Big enough for our 3 huge luggages!

Act cute time!

The cottage has 4 bedrooms for us to choose from. Hmm... which room should we sleep in?
One queen sized bed?

Another room with one queen sized bed?

One double decker with one single bed?

We finally decided on this room with 2 double deckers

Here's the window to our chosen room

The toilet is really pretty and u know what? There's no curtain to the window!!! The horses and cows outside and watch u bathe!!!

This is the couch in the living room

Around the cottage....

Our neighbour Reeds ran over to our cottage to tell us that there were some wild Kangaroos next to his cottage. So we ran over to see them!

Reeds went for his horse ridding session first with his mom and dad.

We went for ours an hour later. It was fun! As if we were on Brokeback Mountain... hahaha... I couldn't bring PIXUS along when we were riding so we took a pic with the horses.

Feeding time!!! The animals were waiting for us to feed them. There's chickens, ducks, sheeps, pigs, geese, horses, cows, etc...

After animal feeding was human feeding.... our dinner. Me and Ms Lee had pork chops while Ms Chin ate beef lasagne. Nice! We also had a good chat with our hosts and frenz from Goldcoast. After dinner was a super dark walk back to our cottage. Luckily I brought torch lights with me.
The night time was spent watching tv and video tape (yeah... long time no see video tape). While we were watching halfway, a black thing dashed across the kitchen!!!! It's a MOUSE!!!!!!! We nearly freaked out! We began keeping all our foodstuffs, closed our bags and moved them into the room. We even had to sleep with door closed and door opening stuffed with towels! Scary night!!! Another scary thing is.... the doors of the cottage are all unlocked... or rather they cannot be locked. Can u imagine... sleeping in the middle of nowhere with no sense of security??? Certainly not a good night's sleep.
